Every year, Regatta Center Medemblik organises the Duo Race. Join in and sail a fun race with your partner or your jetty neighbour.
Competition experience is not necessary, it's just great fun. The least fast boat starts first and the fastest last. The handicap is calculated in advance, so no jostling on the starting line. Use of spinnaker, genaker and autopilot is not allowed. Whoever comes in first has won. Sailing time is about 3 hours. Because of this starting method, all ships will also arrive about the same time for drinks. The drinks will taste extra good and the experiences and great stories will circulate at the bar for a long time.
